Staying Alive to See the Sunrise
We are the first program to educate inmates on overdose prevention and distribute naloxone to inmates exiting incarceration in Georgia.
Our Goals
To educate inmates reentering the community about high-risk overdose.
To train inmates' family members and equip them with naloxone upon release.
To inform inmates about refills.
To offer inmates the opportunity to obtain a naloxone kit with their property when they are released.
To decrease overdose mortality among people leaving prison and reentering the community.
